Romelu Lukaku is the most valuable player in Serie A, outstripping Cristiano Ronaldo in seventh place, according to Transfermarkt’s valuation.
Lukaku has the highest value in Serie A
The Transfermarkt site valued Lukaku 85 million euros, 4 million more than the amount Inter Milan paid Man Utd a year ago.
In his first season in Italy, the Belgian striker scored 34 goals in all competitions, helping coach Antonio Conte’s army compete for the Serie A championship and reach the final of the Europa League.
For his part, Ronaldo is valued at 60 million euros, on par with Inter Milan couple Christian Eriksen and Stefan de Vrij as well as AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Understandable when Ronaldo has such a low value because he is 35 years old. CR7 teammates at Juventus take 2 of the remaining top 5 spots, with Paulo Dybala and Matthijs de Ligt finishing second and third respectively.
According to Transfermarkt, Dybala is worth 80 million euros, 10 million more than defender De Ligt when the Dutchman was bought from Ajax for a slightly higher price than 70 million euros.
Dybala is the second most valuable, and Ronaldo is the 7th
De Ligt’s price is the same as Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who is pursued by Barca despite a release clause worth 111 million euros.
Napoli midfielder Kalidou Koulibaly and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are listed as Italy’s fifth most valuable player at € 65 million. This number is a bit lower than the suggestion that Man City gave Napoli to have a Senegal player.
What is Messi’s market value right now?
Messi, although 33 years old, is still the best player in the world and is the dream contract of any club that aspires to win the most important titles. Due to age issues, Messi’s market value decreased significantly. However, that does not mean that someone can buy the Argentine striker cheap.
According to Transfermarkt, which evaluates players worldwide, Messi has a market value of 112 million euros. His highest value happened in the first half of 2018, when it reached 180 million.
112 million is the lowest level of the Argentine star since the beginning of 2012 when he was priced at 100 million. Then he rose to 120 million in nearly six years and made a huge leap to 180 million after a spectacular rise in expertise.
Currently, Messi is the ninth highest valued player according to Transfermarkt. This list is dominated by Kylian Mbappe with a value of 180 million euros.
