Vaduz ends Falkirk’s European effort

Vaduz (Liechtenstein) ended Falkirk (Scotland) first European effort with a 2-1 aggregate advantage. Vaduz now advances to the third round of the Europa League to face Slovan Liberec (Czech Republic).

After losing to Falkirk 1-0 in the opening leg, Vaduz brought the tie even in the return leg as Emil Noll scored six minutes before the half hour mark. Without further incident during relegation the match headed to extra-time to settle the outcome. At the fifteenth minute Franz Burgmeier provided the Liechtenstein-side the winning margin.

In their first match on the European stage Falkirk (Scotland) defeated Vaduz (Liechtenstein) 1-0 in opening leg of the Europa League second qualifying round.

Playing in his first match for the Bairns since coming over from Liverpool on-loan, Ryan Flynn found the back of the net fifty minutes in. The goal was enough for Eddie May’s side to secure the victory as they head to the deciding leg in Vaduz, Liechtenstein on 23 July.
